Mission Appeals

The appeals aim at sensitizing persons and ecclesial communities (parishes) through the sharing of mission experiences, events and fund-raising.

 


The magazine COMBONI MISSION

Our house in Carmyle, Glasgow, is the centre for the diffusion of the magazine COMBONI MISSION in the whole of Scotland. The magazine present the work of the Comboni Missionaries in the world and deal with the the various challenges which the mission of the Church faces worldwide at religious and social level.

 

 

 


Correspondence with the friends and supporters

It keeps innumerable friends and supporters and missionaries linked together through writings, prayers, donations and mutual sharing insights and concerns for the missions and the people in need.

 

 


Other fund-raising initiatives for the missions

Throughout the year we organise the sale of Raffles, Calendars, etc. with the help of our supporters and friends in Parishes and through the mailing list.

 


Open Days with our Friends and Supporters

 

The open Day is Usually organised on a Saturday during the month of June

 

 


Regular meetings with the "Selected Team of Friends"

It is the group of Friends who work more closely in order to plan and implement the various initiative

 


Comboni Missionaries and  the Comboni Missionary Sisters

The Mission Office of the Comboni Missionaries - Carmyle and of the Comboni Missionary Sisters - Baillieston and the Comboni Friends are working in close collaboration for whatever regards common initiatives

 


Missionary Formation of Lay People

We are aware of the importance of forming Lay People open and sensitive to the Mission of the Church in the world today. We are available to help individuals and groups who feel attracted by it as much as we can.
