1st: St. Fulgentius  was the  Bishop of Ruspe, in Tunisia, died in 533 
15th: St. Paul was an Egyptian Hermit and founder of Monastic life in Thebes, died in 342 
17th: St. Anthony  was Founder of monastic life in the desert of Egypt, died in 356 
23rd: St. John the Alms Giver  was the Patriarch of Alexandria, died in 619 

February
8th: St. Josephine Bakhita  was a Sudanese slave girl born in 1869. She was later sold to an Italian Consol who took her to Italy where she eventually became free. She was baptized and later joined the Canossian Sisters in Vicenza, Italy, lived a holy life, and beatified May 17, 1992. She was canonized on October 1st 2000, died in 1947 

March
1st: St. Gelasius  was Bishop of Rome and third African Pope (492-496), died in 496 
7th: St. Perpetua and Felicity were martyred in Carthage along with 6 others companions in 202 
12th: St. Maximilian (Marmilian) was martyred at Theveste, Numidia after refusing to serve in the Roman army in 295 

April
4th: St. Benedict the Black  was Sicilian, son of African parents; the first African to be canonized through the regular canonical process, died in 1585 
12th: St. Zeno was Born at Cherchell, Algeria; was missionary in Verona, Italy, where he became Bishop of Verona (c. 362), died in 380 
20th: St. Marcellinus  was an African missionary to France, died in the 4th Century

3rd: St. Charles Lwanga and Companions were martyrs in Uganda, canonized by Pope Paul VI in 1964. The 22 young court servants were martyred for their faith by the Buganda King Mwanga in 1886. Along with them were 80 young Anglicans
12th: St. Onuphrius was an Egyptian Hermit, died in the 4th Century 
15th: St. Orsiesius  was Abbot of Tabennisi Monastery, Egypt, died in 380 
27th: St. Cyril of Alexandria  was the Patriarch of Alexandria(412-444), died in 444

28th: St. Moses the Black was a slave, gang leader, who after conversion died a martyr of non-violence on August 28, his feast day. That date providentially coincides with the march to Washington by 200,000 African Americans in 1963, died in 395

7th: St. Achilias  was head of religious instruction in Alexandria, died in 312
11th: St. Nennas was an Egyptian soldier in Phygia, who fled from persecution and became a hermit, died in 300
13th: St. Arcadius and companions  were Martyrs, victims of the Arian Kind of the Vandals, Genseric, died in 437
21st: St. Gelasius was Bishop of Rome and third African Pope (492-496), liturgical reformer, who ordered the reception of Communion under both species, died in 496
25th: St. Cathrine of Alexandria was a virgin and martyr who suffered martyrdom in Alexandria. Her relics are said to be kept in the monastery of St. Catherine  on Sinai, died in the 4th Century
