"For Africa I would give a thousand lives, if I had them"

(St. Daniel Comboni )

This website has been designed for you, young people of the Secondary Schools and University, but it will not run without your valuable collaboration.

It is dedicated to St. Daniel Comboni (1831-1881). A great Missionary and Apostle of Africa. A person who stood up on the side of the African People who were the most oppressed and ignored on earth and had no human rights on their own. He became their voice in front of powerful nations and also inside the Church itself. Life for him was not easy. He was born out of a poor family, but with the great blessing of parents full of faith and love. As a youth he had to face very difficult choices. His deep faith in God, the experience or His faithful love and the certainty of His call gave Daniel the courage to face them all. He showed intelligence and determination but also openness in seeking and receiving advise and guidance of trusted people in his decision-making. The result was a great courage and strength in front the most difficult situation of his life and mission. His certainty that God loved him and called him to be a Priest and a Missionary to Africa and his unshakable love for the African people made of Daniel Comboni an audacious  missionary of Christ until death.
